Record a payment with a receipt or request one with an invoice. Add your own details, review the live preview, then print or save a PDF. No account or server upload is needed.
Record money you have actually received. A receipt can also show a partial payment and the balance that remains.

BEFORE YOU SEND IT
Issue it after money has been received. Enter the amount actually paid, the payment date and a reference if you have one. If the payment covers only part of the total, the preview shows the remaining balance. Do not mark an unpaid order as paid.
Describe the items or work, enter your own invoice number and due date, and check the total before sending it. The “already paid” field reduces the displayed balance; it does not verify a bank transaction. Keep your own records alongside the PDF.
The optional tax percentage is simple arithmetic, not a tax assessment. This tool does not validate registration numbers, item codes, place of supply, invoice numbering, or e-invoicing. For a regulated tax invoice, check the rules that apply to you. India's GST invoice rules ↗
The form and preview run in this browser tab. This page does not send the entries to a TURUBA server or save a draft. Use Print / Save as PDF before closing or refreshing the page. The PDF goes to the location you choose in the browser print dialog.
Yes. Enter the amount actually received. The preview shows the calculated balance when the received amount is smaller than the total. Check that the payment date and reference match your own records.
No. This is a simple document builder with a user-entered tax percentage. It does not check the legal fields required for a GST tax invoice or create an e-invoice. Use a compliant accounting workflow when those requirements apply.
No. This tool formats the record you enter; it does not verify a bank transfer or collect payment. Confirm the payment before issuing a receipt.
DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
Before entering anything, decide whether you are asking for payment or recording money already received. A customer may keep both documents: the invoice explains what is owed, while the receipt shows what has actually been paid. Give each document its own number in your records. If you revise a draft, make sure the number and date still identify the version you intend to send. The generator formats the information you enter; it does not verify a bank balance, contact a customer, or issue a legally certified tax document.
Use item names that a buyer can recognise later. "Design work" may be too broad when an agreement covered a logo and three social graphics; separate lines make the scope easier to check. Enter quantity and rate deliberately, then compare the calculated subtotal with your agreement. If you give a discount, say what it applies to in your own records. A note can explain a milestone, delivery period, or purchase order reference, but it should not replace the line items. Include only the customer details needed for the document you are sending.
For a receipt, enter the amount that reached you, not the total you hoped to receive. The remaining balance can help both parties reconcile a deposit or instalment, but it is still your job to check the transaction reference and payment date. For an invoice, "already paid" reduces the displayed balance. It does not collect that amount or confirm it with a payment provider. If the buyer paid in a different currency, do not silently copy the number across currencies; agree on the exchange basis and document it separately.
The optional tax field performs a percentage calculation. Rules for registration, invoice fields and tax treatment vary by location and type of sale, so enter a rate only when you know it applies. The currency selector changes the display symbol; it does not convert amounts. Review the A4 preview for clipped addresses, missing item descriptions, dates and totals. Use Print or Save as PDF before leaving the page because this form does not retain a draft after refresh. Open the saved file once more and compare it with your source records before you send it.
For repeat customers, keep a separate ledger that links the document number to the order, payment reference and PDF you sent. That makes a later correction traceable without changing an older receipt silently. If a customer disputes a line item, return to the agreement and transaction record before editing the document. When sharing by email, check the recipient and attachment; the generator cannot undo a document sent to the wrong person. Avoid adding bank details or personal identifiers that the buyer does not need.
A document can be useful evidence, but the underlying agreement and payment record remain separate. If you correct a number after sharing a PDF, make a new version and tell the customer what changed. Do not quietly overwrite a file they may already have saved. A clear correction trail is more useful than a perfect-looking template.
